Why Give to Geneseo?

At Geneseo, student-athletes train to become tomorrow’s leaders. Geneseo has long been committed to shaping young men and women into individuals who possess the vision, perseverance and leadership skills to solve future challenges. Gifts to the Geneseo Roundtable Athletic Association (RAA) support this tradition.
State funding, tuition and fees do not cover the cost of maintaining and further developing the athletics program at Geneseo. Now in its fourth year, the RAA helps to ensure that Geneseo’s 20 intercollegiate Division III teams are properly funded by supporting their most urgent needs. Additionally, the RAA encourages the development of the whole person by sponsoring leadership training and mentoring experiences for student-athletes.
In the recent academic year, Geneseo’s student-athletes succeeded in competition, in the classroom and in the community, achieving both individual and team academic and athletic distinction. Among Geneseo’s 20 teams, 19 competed in post-season competition and six won SUNY Athletic Conference titles. Student-athletes maintained an average GPA of 3.17. In addition, 100 percent volunteered in the community while balancing their academic and athletic priorities.
The lessons young men and women learn as student-athletes shape their lives. Through this campaign, alumni, parents and friends have the opportunity to strengthen and ensure the future of Geneseo’s athletic programs. Campaign commitments to the RAA support the student-athletes who will become tomorrow’s leaders.
Donors may designate gifts to the RAA to support any of Geneseo’s intercollegiate teams or the RAA’s overall program.
